A well-presented new shop, selling all manner of gentlemanly things and offering alterations and repairs to clothing has opened at 46 Edge Street in the heart of the Northern Quarter. Taking over the former print studios opposite Common bar, this charming enclave of all things good quality and manly sells old fashioned safety razors (£25/£45), French-made soaps (from £5), Swedish nail brushes and body exfoliaters (hand-made by the visually impaired for the most perfect finish, the store owner tells us), as well as beautiful retro lanterns (£20), string bags (from £6.50), brass whistles, twine dog leads and much more. It’s a place for the chap in your life who likes things just so. We particularly like the range of pomades (£7.50).
