Radio 1, Xfm and 6Music have all been recent homes to new music lover Mary Anne Hobbs – and you can find out what makes her ears happy as she takes part in a public chat with Dave Haslam at Manchester Art Gallery. Beginning her career as a journalist at NME and Loaded Magazine, Hobbs was one of Radio 1’s most innovative presenters breaking a number of acts from the dubstep and progressive electronic music spheres. She currently hosts the 6Music’s Weekend Breakfast show. Talking through her love of music and her role representing women in music broadcasting, she’s bound to have plenty of inside tales to share as part of Manchester Musesum’s Wonder Women series.
