There’s a very special event coming to the Carlton Club in Whalley Range. Join DJ Matt Worden, of Home on the Range, for a night of cool tunes, silly dancing, drinks and the throwing of shapes. You don’t even have to feel guilty for indulging in such Bacchanalia, as it’s all for a good cause. The tickets are pay-as-you-feel, and absolutely all money raised from tickets and donations will go to the mental health care charity MenCap. The organiser of the event is Real Junk Food Manchester, a not-for-profit project. They intercept food that would otherwise go to waste from supermarkets and wholesalers. Using this, they make meals to sell in their restaurant on Oxford Street, which also has a pay-as-you-feel business model. Their aim is to reduce food waste and food poverty. They will be providing you with food for the night.
