Maths is the only language shared by all human beings, something that connects us all. Practice & Research in Science & Music, or PRiSM, will explore what links together music and maths in a collection of five short movements for string quartet; each movement symbolising different mathematical ideas. The show brings an interactive element via an app where the audience can match musical fragments to math. Special speakers mathematician Marcus du Sautoy and composer Emily Howard will also be discussing the relationship between maths and music.
