Visitors to the Science and Industry Museum will have the chance to meet Dr Chris Van Tulleken, star of hit BBC Children and Education’s show, Operation Ouch!, this weekend.

Book your tickets to visit Operation Ouch! Brains, Bogies and You between 11.30am – 1pm and 2.45pm – 4.15pm on Sun 9 Nov for the opportunity to grab a selfie with Dr Chris from inside the exhibition, before diving headfirst into the incredible world of our senses.

Plus, everyone with a general admission ticket can see Dr Chris take to the stage for a Q&A at 10.30am and 2pm.


Operation Ouch! Brains, Bogies and You brings the hit BBC Children’s and Education TV series to life for an unforgettable exhibition experience. From sight to sound, mini medics and curious kids can get stuck into sense-sational science through interactive games, challenges and fun facts guided by videos and illustrations of Operation Ouch! hosts Dr Chris, Dr Xand and Dr Ronx.

To celebrate Dr Chris’ visit, there will be additional sense-themed activities on Sat 8 Nov & Sun 9 Nov. Sight and sound will be examined during an interactive experience led by the museum’s expert Explainers, who will unpick optical and audio illusions that bamboozle our brains, and visitors can also explore their sense of touch during a sensory walk.
