Two acclaimed South Asian dancers from differing generations come together for a mesmerising production at The Lowry next week.

Brought to life by the artistry of Aakash Odedra and Aditi Mangaldas, Mehek is described as an ‘enchanting exploration of the human heart, its desires, courage, and resilience.’

The gripping performance follows the love story of a mature woman and a younger man, with captivating dance used to delve deep into the intricacies of both characters and the challenges of such a relationship.

The Lowry stage will be transformed into an immersive, nature-entwined canvas, upon which a tale of desire unfolds. Mirrors glimmer, replicating a calm sea as a symbol of the duality of their dynamic, hiding the tempest lying beneath.

Derived from the Hindi word for fragrance, Mehek alludes to the enduring power of memory and the essence of love itself.
