Manchester International Festival has revealed an exciting special offer for local culture lovers. The festival’s sell-out show of Macbeth, starring Kenneth Branagh and Alex Kingston, is to preview on 3 and 4 July – and the chance to see the production before anyone else is open only to Greater Manchester residents. Tickets for these two exclusive preview performances go on sale at 1pm on Tuesday 23 April and, given that the entire run sold out in a stunning nine minutes, they are likely to sell out incredibly quickly. A limited number of tickets for other performances of the play throughout the festival are also to be released, with dwellers of our beloved city given the chance to snap up tickets from as little as £12 (for lower-income individuals). Make sure you take advantage of the festival’s loyalty to its city; it’s sure to be a performance you won’t forget in a hurry.

Wed 3 – Thu 4 Jul, Secret location, Manchester city centre, Tel: 0844 375 2013, 7.30pm, £12 – £65, www.mif.co.uk
