Soon Christmas will be on our doorsteps and Manchester will be full of Christmas jingles, Carol Singers and fake Santas. Along with these, and the traditional hustle and bustle of the Christmas Markets, Islington Mill is thankfully here to rescue us for the seventh consecutive year, by hosting its ever popular, annual Christmas shindig. This November, Islington Mill will be inviting us in from the cold for a hearty glass of muelled wine, to feast on some tasty grub from Food by Kim and to buy some bespoke Christmas gifts for our nearest and dearest. Whether it’s a cushion cover or a piece of ceramic art that you’re after, the variety of stalls guarantee that there will be something for even the most difficult of humbugs – from Don’t Bitch Stitch selling quirky fashion accessories, DR. ME with collage prints, to homemade home accessories from Mariel Osborn. And what’s more, whilst warming those cockles and filling your boots with prezzies, there will be performances by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and the Northern Quarter Choir Boys to set the perfect Christmas ambience. So if you can hold your horses on your Christmas shopping until the end of November, you can fulfill all of your Christmas wishes at once (getting merry, munching on festive food, swaying to some tunes and shopping)!
