The result of a two-year collaboration between artists from Manchester and the Netherlands, Mindscapes is a free festival taking place in April and May. It will explore how the world around us affects our mental health – both positively and negatively.

It touches on many themes that have become more important than ever in the light of COVID. Standout artworks include Mood Drawings – a series of posters on the Metrolink which represent the inner workings of people’s minds. Soundpaths will take you on an uplifting journey through the suburbs, via music and audio from a phone app and spoken word group Young Identity will cover the streets with poems about place and self.

Meanwhile online, there will be debates, workshops, Q&A sessions, and film screenings. The full details will be available nearer the launch. Mindscapes is presented by SICK!, a long-running festival which discusses the complexities of both mental and physical health. Learn more by visiting the website below.
