Mini Maker Faire, billed as ‘the greatest show (and tell) on Earth’, returns to MOSI as hobbyists, inventors, 3D printers, hackers and crafters take over for a weekend of inspired creations and activities. One for all the family, the Faire is a celebration of the Maker movement, with an aim to entertain and expand its community in a feast of invention, creativity and resourcefulness. From giant games (think Connect 4 and Ker Plunk on massive scale) and noisy toys to upcycled jewellery and homemade gadgets to 3D Printing and Raspberry Pi, there’s something for makers of all ages and interests to get stuck into. What’s more, it’s a cheap and fun way to ease summer holiday boredom as you take in ingenuities and somewhat crazy inventions, and try your hand at something new.
