Parents trying to find cool family activities for the summer hols should look no further than Trafford City. Following a successful visit earlier this year, The Monster – a massive inflatable assault course – is returning to this month, for four days only. At over 300 metres long, it is the longest course of its kind in the world. It offers 42 unique obstacles including an 18-metre “Mega Slide”, a “Tunnel of Love”, and a “Bouncy Cage of Doom”. Families with kids aged 11-15 will be the first to take on the course, in an exclusive slot from mid-morning to mid-afternoon each day. Those 16 and above who want to embrace their inner child have the opportunity to take to the inflatables later in the day. Beyond, which is just opposite the Trafford Centre, is a £5 million re-development which features the indoor ski slope Chill Factore, leisure outlets, retailers, and restaurants.
