Tickets are on sale now for a unique and specially commissioned performance of new music by Mercury Award nominated Field Music. Part of the Imperial War Museums’ Making a New World season, this will be a night of sound, song and animation set against the dramatic backdrop of IWM North. The immersive performance is inspired by a rare document in IWM’s collection – a graphic record which captures the moment the guns fell silent (see image). The newly created work sees Field Music explore the energy, hope and fragility brought about by the end of the First World War. It’s a one-off event and tickets are limited. Making a New World is a season of exhibitions, installations and immersive experiences taking place at IWM London and IWM North, exploring themes of remembrance and how the First World War has shaped today’s society.
