Nestled proudly on Blossom Street in Ancoats is NAM’s Audiophile Bar and Kitchen, has thrown open the doors on its freshly revamped downstairs bar and lounge.

The refresh brings with it a new Asian-inspired cocktail menu, along with the convenient launch of a weekday happy hour, meaning you can indulge in two for £12 tipples from 4pm to 7pm every Monday to Friday.

Serving a fresh spin on classic cocktails and taking influence from the flavours of South-East Asia, guests can sample creations like the Pandan White Russian, Mango Paloma, Eternal Spring and Give it a Chai!

During happy hour, you can also sip on a bottle of Tiger for £2.50, a pint of NAM Pilsner for £3, or a bottle of Prosecco for £13. Cheap booze, great music and a cosy setting? C’mon, you just know the vibes will be immaculate.

NAM’s basement is a cosy listening space, music venue and bar in its own right. Hidden in plain sight, in the centre of Ancoats, the space is home to Manchester’s only superior Audiophile sound system.

A refined programme of genre-crossing DJs will provide the soundtrack every Friday and Saturday night from 7pm to 12am, spinning tunes that soul, disco, house, electronica, R&B, dancehall, hip-hop, afrobeat, jazz and everything in between. No two weeks will ever be the same, so be prepared for a constant rotation of killer tunes.

Whether you’re looking for an intimate hideout with unrivalled sound quality, or just fancy a decent drink in a comfy setting, you’re more than catered for.

Owner and director of the joint, Nam Tran, added: “Manchester’s music scene is constantly expanding, pushing forward new sounds so we want to give artists on the scene a space to showcase what they are about while at the same time giving guests an opportunity to listen and appreciate through the best sound system in the city!”

At its core, NAM is a community. It’s a spot to help you unwind after a long day’s work, to kick you back into gear with a hearty brunch on the weekend or to feed your soul with authentic local grub for dinner.

The next few months will see a sizeable programme of events to get excited about. From listening parties and pop-up stores to basement takeovers—there will always be something going on.
