Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts have officially announced a major outdoor Manchester date for next June.

The legendary singer-songwriter is set to perform at Heaton Park on Fri 19 Jun as the opening night of his newly announced UK/EU Love Earth World Tour. The run also includes dates in Glasgow, Cork, France and Italy, but Manchester will kick off a memorable European stint on summer’s solstice weekend.

Backed by The Chrome Hearts, featuring Spooner Oldham (keys), Micah Nelson (guitar and vocals), Corey McCormick (bass and vocals) and Anthony LoGerfo (drums), Young will bring a career-spanning set to one of Manchester’s most iconic green spaces. With a catalogue stretching over five decades, from Buffalo Springfield and Crazy Horse classics to his most recent Love Earth material, the Heaton Park date promises a rare chance to see one of music’s most influential figures on a grand outdoor scale.

Tickets go on presale for Neil Young Archives members from Mon 24 Nov at 9am, with general sale beginning Fri 28 Nov at 9am HERE.
