Photography-based artists, Mishka Henner and David Oates, have a new exhibition called Object Recognition at Waterside Arts Centre. The focus of the exhibition is the brilliance of the eye and how we experience the world around us with the goal of making us consider the mechanisms of sensory interpretation. Very much collaboration between the artists, the Eye and Vision Research Group and the University of Manchester who opened up their archives of research along with their insight to bring together a collection which is grounded on decades of scientific research and presented through video, paper and sculpture. The artists used to be known collectively as BlackLab but are no longer using that moniker.
