Drawing together elements from film, photography and architecture, this new show at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Holden Gallery is an out of the ordinary demonstration of artistic notion. Called Model Behaviour, the curators of the group show have sought to encapsulate artists’ attempts to construct idealistic visual interpretations of abstract ideas. Look out for pieces by Oliver Boberg (Night Sites), James Casebere (Landscape with Houses), Jordi Colomer (Anarchitekton), Thomas Demand, Luisa Lambri and Toby Paterson. Expect obscure, graphic representations, from poetic photographs to cinematic features and tabletop models, all aimed at unsettling the fabric of the mind.
