The team behind innovative pay-per-minute workspace cafe Clockwork (formerly Ziferblat) has taken over the Northern Quarter space previously occupied by The Quick Brown Fox to launch a cosy new neighbourhood bar. Mecanica will soft launch on Friday 28 August on Swan Street and promises to be a no-frills love letter to the Northern Quarter, serving up cocktails and a small food range featuring small plates, deli boards and desserts.

Those with a sweet tooth may be particularly keen to visit this new neighbourhood hang out, as puddings will be provided by local favourite chocolate shop Slattery’s. Vegan, vegetarian and meat options will also be available to sample at this laid back city centre bar, all overseen by a small team headed up by Marc Benton, formerly of La Bandera. For more information on what you can find at Mecanica and for full opening times, visit the bar’s Facebook page via the link below.
