The team behind Dulcimer in Chorlton are transforming Burton Road’s The Violet Hour in to a new bar. Saison, which opens next Friday (11 Sep), will offer 16 ales on keg, plus a list of 40 bottled beers – as well as wine, spirit and cocktail options. Breweries likely to feature include Blackjack, Runaway, Track, Squawk and First Chop – all local – plus Mikkeller, Galway Bay, Heretic and Stone from further afield. In the coming weeks, Saison will also offer a small plate-based food menu, focussing on local, market-fresh seasonal ingredients. For its launch event, the bar will hand over its kitchen to up-and-coming chefs Oh My Glaze, who will be offering free tasters from the forthcoming menu.
