Author Michael Morpurgo will set sail with award-winning storyteller Danyah Miller for a new nautical show at The Lowry. ‘Why The Whales Came’ is a one-woman storytelling show about being lost at sea, based on a simple wooden set that hides some adventurous surprises. Writer Morpurgo is best known for ‘War Horse’, his acclaimed novel which took to the stage at The Lowry, the West End and Broadway. This new Morpurgo adaptation comes from Danyah Miller’s Olivier award-nominated Wizard Presents, whose ‘I Believe in Unicorns’ enchanted audiences across the UK. Choose from ten daytime one-hour shows over five days, suitable for ages seven-plus.
