Rising from the ashes of previous bands, Reclaim Vienna emerged just a couple of years ago. Hailing from Winsford, Cheshire – the 6-piece have already taken Manchester by storm with sold-out gigs across the city having been signed to local label 42records. The band are formed of twin brothers Danny (guitarist/songwriter) and Ryan Smith (drums), leader singer Jonathan Steen, lead guitarist Ryan Harlow, Harry Woodrow on synths and bass player Paul Hill. After bursting onto the scene with their debut single Kick The Butterfly, followed by indie dance floor filler Paris – the lads have earned support from the likes of Amazing Radio, XS Manchester and BBC Introducing amongst others. Their style is an interesting blend of nightclub music with an indie twist – combining electronic synths with pop lyrics, creating a definitely danceable sound. Taking inspiration from 1980s new wave/synth bands and frequently drawing comparison with locals Slow Readers Club – the lads have already managed to build a dedicated cult following. With new single Change The Echo out 27 March, we look forward to seeing what’s next in store for the band. Connect with the band online via Spotify, Facebook and Instagram.
