Filthy Tricks are an indie rock’n’roll five-piece straight out of the North West. The Warrington-based band originally started back in 2016, making a strong comeback a couple of years later with a few new faces and a bigger, bolder sound. Led by Liam Rimmer on vocals, Gerard Van Den Hoek on vocals/guitar, Matty Hignett on lead guitar, bassist Chris James and drummer Chris Peake – the lads released their first four-track EP Run The River last summer.

Hailing from the hometown of Ian Brown, Viola Beach, and Slydigs – Filthy Tricks have already caught the attention of other musicians, including fellow North West outfit Sky Valley Mistress who described them as “Rock and roll done right!”.  They’ve also supported the likes of The Blinders and Child Of The State, while playing their own headline gigs across Warrington, Manchester and Liverpool. With extensive radio play from both BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio – they kicked off 2020 with the release of single Walk In Line – which local rugby team Warrington Wolves picked to soundtrack their season promotional video.

Their next release Leah, out Friday 8 May, opens with a thundering drum beat, flourishing guitar riffs and tells of self-realisation and the impact that special someone can have on your life. Definitely for fans of bands like Black Keys and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, you can find the guys on their socials via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube and keep an eye out for their new single, release Friday 8 May 2020.
