A brand new concept restaurant and cocktail bar boasting vibey decor and dishes is due to open its doors in Deansgate later this month. 202 Kitchen is a self-styled ‘trap box kitchen with soul’, specialising in piling a range of traditional cuisines like mac’n’cheese, waffles, fried chicken, burgers and grilled seafood together in metal box. This relatively new foodie trend was spearheaded by a number of Instagrammers and influencers, with the style becoming particularly popular with trainee chefs keen to showcase their new meals on social media.

The venue – which officially opens its doors on Friday 21 August – will carry these social roots through to its interior design, promising a vibrant pink, black and floral backdrop that’s sure to be a hit with local Instagrammers. Keen to adhere to social distancing guidelines, 202 Kitchen will feature an enclosed outdoor seating area which will cater for all types of weather – while their drinks menu aims to make the space a welcome addition to Bridge Street’s bar scene, offering cocktails, beers, wines and spirits. Check out their food offering below…
