A brand new Scandinavian-inspired bar and kitchen is coming to Prestwich. Osma, a new dining space devised by Head Chef Danielle Heron and her co-founder Sofie Stoermann-Naess, will serve up a selection of open sandwiches, hearty salads, fresh fruit juices and coffees, alongside a regularly changing menu of small sharing plates inspired by seasonal produce. These dishes will be accompanied by a range of self-described ‘funky wines’ and creative cocktails served from their in-house bar.
The 28-year-old Heron – who has worked in some of the top kitchens in the world, including Michelin-starred spaces L’Enclume in the Lake District and Maaemo in Oslo – has returned to her Prestwich home to start this new venture with creative partner Stoermann-Naess, who she met whilst working at Oslo’s Kolonihagen Frogner. In addition to creating healthy, creative and tasty dishes using produce sourced from local British farms and suppliers, Heron and Stoermann-Naess also aim to make seasonality a prominent feature in Osma’s interior design.
Its space is designed to attract a range of daily demographics – from those popping in for a quick bite to eat, to folks visiting for a working lunch or business meeting. Bookings aren’t required – simply drop by and grab a space. To find out more – and to keep up to date of Osma’s ever-changing menu – follow the venue on Instagram.
