Interested in photography? The Portico will look to the hills for Andrew Brooks’s new exhibition ‘The Library And The Mountain: A Geological Study’. The Manchester photographer’s work covers cityscapes and rural locations, from Aberdonian staircases to Peak District mines. For this new exhibition, he has used the historic Portico Library’s structure to tell a photographic journey exploring the dramatic vistas of Snowdonia. Brooks has previously won The Lumen Prize, the global award for digital art. This short run – with a preview at 6pm on Thu 6 Jul – is part of Manifest Arts Festival, in which over 250 artists curate free events across Manchester, Salford and Bolton.
