Contact theatre is closing in December 2017 ahead of a £6.75 million capital redevelopment – but that won’t stop the many artists and creators that call Contact home won’t be making magic elsewhere. Contact shows will, for the foresaable, pop up at Palace Theatre, Manchester Academy, the Museum of Science and Industry and The Lowry, among other spaces, including a sari shop in Rusholme. The season kicks off in February with Queer Contact Festival.
