Times may be tough for music and food venues but there’s light at the end of the tunnel with the recent news that a brand new late-night blues bar and restaurant is due to open in the city centre next year. The Blues Kitchen promises to bring live music, bourbon and southern inspired BBQ food to Deansgate’s old Walkabout site on Quay Street in early 2021. Nightlife lovers can expect food, drink and menus inspired by the deep South, with a selection of local and international live acts spanning soul, funk and rock’n’roll gracing its stage seven nights a week. With three London venues already under its belt in places like Shoreditch, Camden and Brixton, this new venue will mark the brand’s first foray up North. Those eager to get a taste of what’s in store can head to The Blues Kitchen’s Instagram for a flavour of the venue’s Americana aesthetic and vibe. In the meantime, keep checking back for updates on this new addition to Manchester’s nightlife scene.
