Bernhard Schobinger is a jewellery designer who works in unorthodox ways, reclaiming junk and turning it into jewels. The finished pieces are imbued with a strong sense of past, yet nod towards a future of design. Spanning 40 years, his career and craft has evolved beyond tradition and convention, continuously pushing boundaries and building him a reputation worldwide. This show will illustrate the artistry, eccentricity and uniqueness of his designs. Combining discarded matter, such as spent knicker elastic, with precious stones, his work explores the boundary between the mundane and the beautiful.
