Imagine that Bette Davis’ Baby Jane Hudson in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? had joined the Monty Python team and it would give you an idea of Beth Vyse’s alter ego, actress Betsy Lynn. In this full-length solo show, No Turn Unstoned, the dying Lynn ponders her legacy and it’s a surreal, multimedia one at that – as well as being populated by a multitude of bizarre characters. A trained actor with supporting roles in the likes of Holby City, Doctors and A Touch Of Frost, Mancunian Vyse decided to venture out onto the comedy scene and has spent a chunk of the last few years there. No Turn Unstoned has already run at the Edinburgh Fringe and now is part of the line-up at the Lass O’Gowrie; the Lass programme all manner of comedy and theatre in their upstairs theatre spaces, so get down there and take a look.

Fri 19 – Thu 25 April, Lass O’Gowrie, 36 Charles Street, M1 7DB, Tel: 0161 273 6932, 8pm, £5 adv, £6 on door, www.wegottickets.com
