Celebrating Manchester’s enterprising creative culture, the Northern Art Carbooty does as its name suggests; it is the north’s contemporary arts version of the traditional car boot sale – featuring arts, crafts, workshops, DJ’s, performances, live radio recordings, food and drink.  Now in its second year, this alternative event aims to create a platform for artists to share and sell their work, alongside junk that needs a new home, all within a lively community atmosphere of Ancoats conservation area. The basic principle of this event is that everything and anything goes, resulting in a refreshing mix of high quality art, vintage wares, bric-a-brac, music and even a bouncy castle.
