The Makers Market will make creative waves through the urban shores once more, as Stevenson Square will be awash with the finest of the region’s independent traders. Now notching up three figures – that’s 110 different stalls to transform the artistic neighbourhood into a place to recline and relax on the pop-up chairs or mooch through the colourful platters served up by Three Colours Only’s art, No 71 Legend Rooms and Ben Sedman’s photography. Equally vibrant are the foodie treats being served up, with award winning pies by Pudding and Pie and Cumbrian Pies, desserts and baked goodies courtesy of A King Mama and Nicely Kitchen’s knack for satisfying the vegan sweet tooth, and the best selections of sliced (or unsliced) breads by The French Corner. All the familiar vintage jewellery, crafts and gift ideas will be back with refreshed displays, such as Little Owl and Roger Browning, and Pasta Paul’s enviable record collection is set to soundtrack your day.
