Calling all game nerds and casual players alike – Northern Quarter retro arcade bar NQ64 is opening a second site on Peter Street right next door to Albert’s Schloss and the Albert Hall.

This second location will have everything you loved about the first but with more space, more seating and more games. It’ll bring classics such as Pac-Man and Mario Kart, as well as Guitar Hero, Time Crisis 3 and NBA Jam to play against your mates – all while sipping on an array of video game-inspired cocktails.

When NQ64 first opened on Short Street back in 2019, it took the city by storm with its bright neon décor and extensive range of arcade games on display. This quickly spread to other cities like Birmingham, and now the brand is coming back to its roots. This second site will be open until 3am every day and serve a selection of beers from independent local brewers and a range of cocktails like the Princess Peach, Bubble Bobble and Pacs a Punch to enjoy while snacking on bags of retro crisps.

To celebrate, NQ64 are offering exclusive merch and free drinks to the first 50 people to visit during their grand opening on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 June. Visit their Instagram page to find out more.
