Manchester’s first cat cafe is now open in the Northern Quarter. This is a space where you can hang out with cats in the comfort of their own home or take part in events like yoga, attend a film night (with added cats), learn mindfulness or knitting, all while surrounded by lovely cats, such as Aslan (pictured).

Now open, Cat Cafe, 103 High Street, Manchester, M4 1HQ, times vary, £12 per hour (pre-book), or £1 per five minutes for walk ins. Over 10s only, other than at specially supervised sessions for 4-9 year olds, www.catcafe.co.uk
