Having gone from a hidden gem to one of the first names on the lips of people recommending Indian food in the Manchester area, the Indian chefs, family and friends who run Lily’s have been planning a venue expansion for the last five years. And the new venue is finally here. Housed in the former Alexandria Social Club on Dean Street, Lily’s has more dishes on the menu and a whole lot more space. Seeing as Lily’s is located close to Ikea in Ashton, it’s the ideal place to combine with a visit to the homeware store – as well as being a destination for veggies and spice lovers in its own right. The restaurant enjoyed an excellent review in the Guardian back when Marina O’Loughlin was the paper’s main food critic in 2014  – and it’s been steadily building a national fan base ever since. Watch this space for a review.
