Despite only opening its somewhat hidden doors on Tariff Street a mere six months ago Kosmonaut has fast become a Northern Quarter favourite. With its blend of cracking cocktails, laidback décor and table tennis-boasting basement, as well as some of the most exciting DJ talent Manchester has to offer, the bar has gone from strength to strength in a very short space of time. Continuing to grow metaphysically and now physically, it invites you to try out its brand new 80-seat ‘creative diner space’ (pictured), having knocked through to an empty unit next door, on Friday 7 June. Things are set to go all Deer Hunter from 6pm – but with a different form of Russian Roulette involving the Kosmonaut Cocktail Roulette, which will come with more booze and less teary, mad-eyed Christopher Walken. Shame, that. Roll the Kosmonaut cocktail dice to see what libation you will end up with while NQ stalwart Pasta Paul DJs. We’re sure in six months time they’ll have another floor to boast about, but in the meantime go check out Kosmonaut 2.0 for a casual drink or to get some work done surrounded by Manchester’s creatives.
