Film fans will be delighted to learn that the Odeon’s Flashback Fans series returns for its new season later this month, screening classic movies the way they were intended: on the big screen. The schedule includes films for everyone – from the 1985 adventure movie The Goonies (23 Sep) through to Tarantino’s 1992 thriller Reservoir Dogs (14 Oct). Horror fans will be thrilled to see 1982 version of The Evil Dead (28 Oct), which is bound to scare the living daylights out of you just before Halloween. With Christmas just around the corner, Flashback Fans will showcase an array of the festive best, starting with the renowned tear-jerker It’s A Wonderful Life (9 Dec), followed by the comedy Elf (16 Dec) and the season finale screening of the brilliant Home Alone (23 Dec). Audiences are able to request what films will be shown in the next season just by following the weekly event on Twitter at @flashbackfans. Flashback Fans screenings begin at 8pm every Monday. It is advisable to book tickets in advance as, with this much audience participation, some of the screenings will be sell-outs. Tickets cost just £4 and can be booked online.
