Fat Out Fest returns to two of Salford’s most-loved venues, Islington Mill and The White Hotel, at the end of this month.

Halloween weekend will bring an eclectic mix of experimental music and visual art, celebrating the queer underground through intense, experimental and rowdy performances.

Queer-led promoter, Off With Their Heads, who hosted Manchester debuts for the likes of Grimes, Christeene, Mykki Blanco, Austra and Savages, lead festivities on Sat 29 Oct.

Born out of a response to the ‘Off with Their Heads’ rallying cry that students shouted at Charles & Camilla’s car in 2010, these early shows captured the frustration at the monarchy and government.

After a 10-year hiatus, OwTH returns to an increasingly polarised and disenfranchised world. That initial energy which sought to create a space for all, where people could protest and escape, simultaneously, in a celebratory fashion, is now more necessary than ever.

Performing on the night are:
w/ Chemtrails (Live)
I AM FYA (Live)
PRNCSS (Live)
Good Afternoon
Pumping Iron
Shannon From Admin & Qwirk (The Beatriarchy)
DJ Riv plus visuals
