Curry evangelist Nisha Katona has been unveiled as the latest of a list of the biggest names in food culture taking part in this year’s Foodies Festival at Tatton Park. Katona joins the Chefs Theatre, which boasts a programme of celebrity chefs a Michelin-starred maestros including top TV chef Rosemary Shrager. Other highlights include the Foodies ‘Bake Off’ cooked by members of the public (click on the link below for more details), as well as last year’s winner of GBBO Candice Brown, lashings of street food and booze, an artisan producers market, live music and more. Recent additions to the annual celebration include a healthy living area, serving up complementary yoga sessions and nutritional advice as well as all the usual treats at this 13-year-old institution, such as science-themed kids cookery classes. The festival is one of five Foodies Festivals staged across the UK every year. Each event sees organisers teaming up with local producers and vendors to come up with an excellent day out for all.
