This evening, entitled ‘On Tenterhooks’ is named after the hooked nails in the textile mills. It promises to take the audience back to the industrial revolution with renowned storyteller Christine McMahon’s tales of the gritty, harsh life of Lancashire and Yorkshire mill towns. Weaving through the textile heritage with tales of strong women, daring children, bone men and even the odd sheep, plus McMahon’s Northern wit, On Tenterhooks looks set to be a historic and entertaining storytelling event.
