Nestled in the hive of Chorlton, Electrik is an independent cafébar and not only do they dish out delightful blends of coffee and tea, specially prepared meals and an overwhelmingly large selection of beers and ales, they have a little shindig every week (or thereabouts) called One Deck Wednesday. The rules of the night are simple: no mixing or scratching, just a  flow of specially-curated records. Crate diggers of all backgrounds are invited to share their collection and following on from recent guest, professional snooker player-cum-DJ Steve Davis, Chris Geddes will be on hand to work his magic on a single record deck. Geddes is best known as the keyboardist – and one of the founder members – of Scottish indie icons Belle & Sebastian. Few bands have been so inspirational and had such an impact on music over the past twenty years, so here’s your chance to hear the records that inspired them.
