One Mic Stand is a self-confessed boisterous night of poetry and music centred around a Poetry Slam, where challengers are given only three minutes to win the audience’s favour and win a cash prize. June sees UK hip-hop don Ty – known for his fierce independence and socially conscious mind – grace the stage. He’s joined by the soulful Mica Miller and a live set from Manc poetry crew Inna Voice who have shared the boards with Saul Williams, Kate Tempest and The Last Poets. Music is supplied by the unstoppably funky Better Days DJs. Mancunian talent is pushed front and centre at this exciting and strongly-inclusive evening.
