Chef Andrew Green’s new restaurant, Mamucium, brings northern inspired creative cuisine to the NOMA quarter. Situated within the redeveloped City Buildings which houses the new Indigo Hotel, the menu, created by the former head chef at The Lowry Hotel, features northern takes on French onion soup – Lancashire Onion Soup – as well as a traditional local hot pot deconstructed (pictured), Blacksticks Blue dauphinoise potatoes and a classic Manchester Tart. The idea is to offer gourmet takes on local favourites and, if Greens track record is anything to go by, this is likely to be a success.
