Launched back in 2008 and backed by the Arts Council among others, the intervening years have turned the Buy Art Fair into the premiere place for collectors (and would-be collectors) to one-stop-shop in the biggest event of it’s kind outside of London. The 2013 iteration will have over 70 galleries exhibiting, bringing with them pieces in all shapes, sizes and mediums, running in conjunction with sister event Manchester Contemporary at Quay House. Prices will range from £50 at the lower end to £5000+ at the upper limit, meaning there’s something for everyone, regardless of budget. There will be free guided tours, activities for the little ones and opportunities to meet the artists who made the pieces, as well as live music and an on-site café.
