Cancelled: An evening with Paul Gambaccini at Waterside Arts

There aren’t many more knowledgable in the great pop landscape than ‘The Professor of Pop’ Paul Gambaccini and you can have a little root around in his cavernous musical mind when he comes to town with his tales of writing for Rolling Stone, stints across BBC Radio 1 through 4, the Vietnam war and even surviving a hostile encounter with the Metropolitan Police. ‘The Great Gambo’ has seen and lived it all, deciding to share his life story on this no holds barred tour that of course will feature a music quiz and later a Q&A. If there’s anything you wanted to know about pop, and Paul for that matter, head down to Waterside for a night of trivia and tribulations. Unfortunately due to ill health this event has been cancelled.
