Andrea Parker is a British electronic music producer, record label proprietor and acclaimed techno DJ. A front-runner in the UK’s progressive music scene, she founded the Touchin’ Bass and Aperture labels, and has remixed artists as diverse as Philip Glass, Lamb and The Orb as well as supporting Radiohead on their US tour. In short, Parker is a massive talent – and the perfect choice to curate a night of cutting edge new music at The Lowry. Seeking to ‘breaking all things conventional and combining all things experimental’. the line up opens with Koenraad Ecker, a Belgian-born, London-based sound sculptor working in experimental electro. Expect a collaborative performance made specifically for The Lowry between Ecker (audio) and visuals artist Yannick Jacquet. Performance two comes from The Sprawl, a syndicate of sound conceived as a performance for Berlin’s infamous CTM Festival. The Sprawl is a collaboration between London’s Mumdance and Logos hooked up with Italy’s Berlin-based specialist for haunting techno, Shapednoise.
