Film festivals are ten a penny these days so it’s always a treat to see the return of Manchester’s celebration of telly ‘Pilot Light TV Festival’. Now in its fourth year of operation and showing no signs of slowing down during this golden age of television they have another excellent line up of premieres, talks and workshops for four nights at HOME and 70 Oxford Road. Here are our top picks…

1. Drag Race Double Bill
RuPaul’s Drag Race celebrates ten years on the air this year and there is a double pronged attack to mark the occasion with a retrospective lead by Grace Barber-Plentie at HOME followed by a full on Ru Eleganza at Gorilla.
Fri 17 May, 10 Years of RuPaul’s Drag Race, HOME, 7.30pm, £10/8, www.homemcr.org
Drag Race Eleganza Extravaganza, Gorilla, 11pm, £5-12, www.seetickets.com

2. 15 Storeys High retrospective
Now a cult comedy classic, Sean Lock’s 15 Storeys High will be discussed and dissected in the festival’s In Memoriam section as they look at shows culled before their time. Writer and actor Lock will be on hand for a Q&A with writer Martin Trenaman and producer Phil Bowker.
Sat 18 May, HOME, 3.15pm, £10/8, www.homemcr.org

3. Game of Thrones: The Final Night
The night is long and full of terrors as Game of Thrones comes to an end, and so there’s no better time for a look back at the series as a whole with a special guest panel. The discussion will be followed by an exclusive screening of the penultimate episode of the show’s 8th season.
