Ever fancied brewing your own pint, be it porter or pilsner? Manchester Homebrew is a group of like-minded folk who meet up every few months – with the next event scheduled for this Sunday. Hosted by Port Street Beer House – where else? – it will offer local homebrewers the chance to share their experiences and ideas. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own creations to share and discuss. Sunday’s meeting will focus on beers made with a single variety of hop. The group has previously met at BrewDog, where a brewer from Thornbridge was on hand to discuss the technicalities of water in brewing. All levels of homebrewers are welcome – from small pan-on-hob operations through to full set-ups almost rivalling commercial breweries! The group meets quarterly, on the first Sunday of the month.
