Ancoats’ Neapolitan pizza parlour, Rudy’s, opened their second outlet next to Albert Schloss on Peter Street this week. The new venue is bigger than the original and jointly funded by Mission Mars (the team behind venues such as Schloss, Gorilla and Albert Hall). It could be the first of many for the Ancoats brand, as the plan is to start a chain if this second outlet is a success. The original Rudy’s was opened in 2015 by a local couple Jim Morgan and Kate Wilson. It has won a number of awards and features alongside Altrincham’s Honest Crust in an international guidebook, Where to Eat Pizza, which lists the best pizza parlours in the world, as chosen by experts and aficionados.
