With rare and lucid accuracy, the Guardian Guide brilliantly summed up the first EP from Withington’s kraut-mathrockers as ‘Fugazi crossed with Slint crossed with Stereolab crossed with awesome’. Two years later the Dave Haslam-endorsed trio herald the release their debut album Animalism with this gig-cum-Akoustik-Anarkhy-happening. Expect a sonic assault of slinky, dark instrumentals with tense, pulsing guitars gliding over well-drilled motorik rhythms. Support from much fancied fellow travellers Hookworms.
