Platzki’s immensely popular pierogi festival is returning to the Great Northern Warehouse next week in a delicious celebration of the Polish delicacy.

Taking place across Wed 27 & Thu 28 Sep, visitors will be able to tuck into a variety of fillings including the ‘Kaczka’, which comes packed full of perfectly slow-cooked duck and fresh plum, or the ‘Karkowka’, which features delicately roasted pork and roasted vegetables.

Vegan and vegetarian options will be available too, such as the ‘Fasolka’ which is filled with crushed butter beans, roasted tomatoes and roasted peppers.

Also on the menu will be a unique twist on the Polish staple, the ‘Slodkie’, a sweet Pierogi loaded with cottage cheese, vanilla sugar and juicy blueberries.

Last year’s event saw queues around the block, and the team are encouraging people to get down early. Sittings will begin from 5pm on both days, no bookings are being taken, just turn up and the team will be slinging pierogis to eat in or take away until they completely run out.
