We recently told you that the team behind Kosmonaut were opening a new joint over in Stephenson Square called PLY, and as excitement mounts the crafty things have created a pre-launch exhibition with a difference. To get the buzz going, PLY have commissioned seven creative types to produce 90 second videos based on the theme of pizza. Why? Because pizza’s great – but also because the particular pizzas to be served at PLY will bake in just one and a half minutes. Each film showcases the theme differently, so expect to see a bizarre mix of 1980s video games, tiny hamsters and pizza boxes from around the world. While the space itself is still under construction, these videos are being projected out onto the street via TV screens set up in the windows, meaning it’s the sort of casual affair you can simply take a look at as you walk past. Peek inside to try and see their bespoke mirror ball pizza oven, too.
